Stardraw Lighting 2D is an all-new offering from the London-based software company and replaces the Stardraw 2DV3 package which has been available since 1998. I hope this is helpful.Stardraw selected LDI 2001 as the launch platform for its latest lighting design and documentation software. You may wish to check out some of the Block Schematic symbols for lighting products that are already available in the Symbol Libraries for manufacturers such as: CLAY PAKY, Martin, Mega-Lite PROLED and Robe. As with any request for any product, from any industry, be it Lighting, AV, Broadcast, IT, Security etc. etc., upon receipt of your requests, we'll contact the manufacturer and request information about his products. Upon receipt of this information new symbols will be created and published ready for you to use in your system designs. As you probably know the Symbol Libraries are user-driven so you are encouraged to inform us of all of your product requirements using this system. Getting standardized Pictorial and Block Schematic symbols included SD7 is actually pretty simple though. All you need to do is request the products you require symbols for using our Product Request System. All of the lighting symbols were in fact previously available in our legacy application Stardraw Lighting 2D and never designed to work in the Pictorial Schematic module in SD7. As you'll no doubt have noticed, the online lighting symbols available in the Symbol Browser are very different in appearance/scale/detail etc. to our standard Pictorial Schematic symbols. I can see the potential for the old lighting symbols transferring over to a Pictorial Schematic but a Block Schematic? SO I'm just wondering what other do in the same place? Just interested before I jump in an think of something? Thanks Lloyd :-) Hi Lloyd. A weird question but I'm just wondering what symbols people use for lighting fixtures in the schematics? I was an experienced stage lighting technician long before I was an AV Designer and I know there is a whole raft was symbols for the various stage lighting fixtures when drawing up a lighting plot but I need to put a bar with six lights - 3 spots and 3 profiles - in the audio visual system block schematic I am currently working.
